Rechargeable Zippo Candle Lighter
In 1960, in celebration of "175 years of transportation progress," the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway created iconography celebrating its heritage dating back to the James River Company (later James River and Kanawha Canal) in 1785. Featured on timetables and public relations items, such as a C&O Railway lighter made by Zippo, the stylized image (C&O Historical Society archive # LOGO-64) featured George Washington as a surveyor looking through his transit and a lightweight passenger train pulled by an E8 diesel locomotive.
In a modernization of the classic 175th anniversary C&O Railway lighter by Zippo, we are excited to have partnered with the original manufacturer to reproduce the 1960 image of George Washington for this high-tech and stylish rechargeable candle lighter. An American classic featuring rugged, durable metal construction in Pebble coloring to match the original flame lighter distributed by the railroad, this up-to-date tool has a sleek finish, requires no refueling, produces a flameless and windproof electrical arc, and easily charges with the included charging cord.
This laser-engraved C&O Railway flexible-neck lighter also features:
- Reusable for a long lasting product life
- Long use without the need to charge
- Included charging cable recharges the Candle Lighter
- Easily fits into tight spaces
- Flexible neck
- Comes packaged in a box
- Approximate 90-minute recharge time
