St. Albans, West Virginia Depot T-Shirt

From the C&O Historical Society’s vast archives of company documents and diagrams comes a wearable architectural diagram of the C&O Railway’s famous wooden depot in St. Albans.  Beautifully rendered on this structure-series t-shirt, this rarely-seen diagram of the station helps us commemorate our non-profit organization's seventh department.

The wooden railway depot, completed by the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway in 1907, is a one-of-a-kind structure that served the region for decades throughout the 20th century.  Replacing older structures that served passengers and offered freight service, it is preserved today by the City of St. Albans and showcased in collaboration with the C&O Historical Society.

On the front of the t-shirt, opposite from the station drawing, is the C&O Railway insignia that can still be seen on multiple railway underpasses along the old mainline in the Kanawha City section of Charleston, West Virginia.  Beneath the C&O logo in historically-accurate typeface is “ST ALBANS” in order to replicate the C&O station sign from the depot.

The C&O Historical Society now offers these t-shirts for sale in support of our multi-state mission.
