Andrew Harmantas has been painting for as long as he can remember. Graduating from Western Maryland College in Westminster, Maryland, he came to know the Western Maryland Railroad, a fortuitous event that shaped the direction of his painting, as scenes along the Western Maryland and the C&O became a recurring them and continue to be subjects in many of his painting today.
