C&O Camp Cars from Converted Box Cars

The C&O undertook a complete revision of its Maintenance-of-Way Camp and Tool Cars right after WWII. The drawings in this booklet were made for conversions of box cars to camp cars. The photos show cars in existence in 1950 in various configurations some of which match the drawings and some of which do not. The camp car fleet was a wide variety of retired equipment converted for MofW use and there appears to have been few standards and few car that were even close to standard after years of service and modifications. This is printed on 8 ½ x 11 paper and includes photocopies of 5 drawings and 11 photos.
