The PM, like all major railroads, issued various manuals and documents that enumerated the operating divisions, station names, agents appointed to each station, equipment of the company, junctions, etc. This is such a list for 1942. It contains a milepost-by-milepost listing of all stations, with distances shown, and with telegraphic call-letters, indications of sidings, junctions, etc. It also has an alphabetical cross-index, and in the appendices it has a complete roster listing of all locomotives, freight and passenger cars operated, as well as listings of wye tracks, coaling stations (with capacity), turntables (with length), and locations of junctions with other railroads. Such booklets were used by agents and most officers of the company and were issued on an a periodic basis.
