This six page booklet has been enlarged to fit on 8 ½ x 11 paper. It describes how employees should act when handling and switching cars in road or yard service. The purpose was to help reduce damaged lading through rough handling, and to increase safety for employees. The small booklet was originally pocket size, and it states that $1,174,000 was lost in 1949 in damaged freight. Much of this information will be VERY useful for modelers interested in realistic train operation.
