This Coal Mine Directory was issued by Chessie System Railroads in 1981. It shows all mines served by C&O, B&O, and WM as of that date. Each coal district has a detailed map with the mines shown by reference number referring back to the overall listing which shows the mine name, the siding name, the origin number, and station name. The names and mailing addresses of all owning companies are also shown.
