The C&O issued on regular intervals a book that showed the scheduling of all time freights, terminal by terminal, including connections, and other information vital to making the freight move on time.
Originally pocket sized, this represents 18 pages reprinted on 8.5 x 11 paper. I was issued to operating department personnel responsible for timetables and for actual operation of trains. This would have been in possession of all dispatchers, operators and yard personnel. This book was issued in 1936, but the general outline of trains would have been about the same even after WWII.
