This is a reproduction of an official Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Steam Locomotive Diagram Book. Most railroads issued these books for their rolling stock and locomotives so that the basic information about each type or class of equipment could be easily accessed at any shop or terminal along the line where some repair or maintenance might be needed. The diagrams in this booklet are drawn to the Advisory Mechanical Committee standards used by all the railroads under the Van Sweringen System in the 1920s and 1930s (C&O, NKP, PM, HV, Erie). Diagrams are reproduced full size, and updates through 1944 have been incorporated.
