This image was specially done for the C&O Historical Society by renowned Vermont artist Charlie Hunter to celebrate and promote the Society and its home town. It captures Clifton Forge in all its glory. It depicts the huge M-1 Turbine pulling the named train The Chessie past the colonade canopy with the Art Deco Coaling tower and Rich Patch Mountain in the background. It is done in the style of the great travel posters of the 30's and 40's and is a powerful image reminiscent of Leslie Ragan's 20th Century Limited poster.
