C&O Work Train Tenders
This pamphlet reprints two early 1950s-era rosters showing numbers and capacities of former steam locomotive tenders converted for use as "water cars" or camp car/work train use, and dates converted. Shows the new numbers assigned to these tenders that were saved for use with camp cars. These tenders were seen with styrings of camp cars all across the system until camp cars were phase out in the early 1980s. Includes photos of typical tenders in service.
