Gadsby's Tavern Background information:
Gadsby’s Tavern is the last remaining car from the consist of C&O’s original “flagship” train, The George Washington of 1932, America’s first air-conditioned long distance train.
Decorated in a colonial motif the car features etchings of Washington’s life and times.
C&OHS has restored the car to its 1932 appearance inside and to its 1950 appearance outside. It is fully operational and is often the venue for special events.
