Chessie's Travelog 2020 Calendar
This year the C&O Historical Society breaks this tradition of just reprinting C&O Chessie-related calendar art and advertising from the 1930s-50s. We still have many of those timeless pieces of advertising illustration, but for the first time we are adding three brand new, just-created Chessie-related art pieces that have been prepared for a new children’s book about Chessie. The book is to be released by the Society soon and is called “Chessie Takes a Train Ride,” therefore the calendar theme this year is “Chessie’s Travelog.” This not only encapsulates the theme of Chessie riding her trains, but also ties in with the children’s book theme of Chessie having a heartwarming adventure as she travels the C&O.
