C&O Local Train Service, Jan. 24, 1969.
This is a 25-page C&O memorandum outlining schedules for the remaining local freight train service on the entire system. By this date the service had declined. Although a number of trains are listed east of Hinton throughout Virginia, none are shown for New River or Kanawha Subdivisions. Others to the west include runs on Cincinnati, Chicago, and Hocking Divisions, and a large number in Michigan and Ontario. Very interesting material about the end-years of this service.
