This is the first in a series of books by the Chesapeake & Ohio Historical Society dealing with various aspects of C&O history which have not been possible before. The introduction of print-on-demand technology will allow us to publish material on a wide variety of new subjects. The first effort is a compendium of reprinted articles from the past 30 years of our magazine that deal with the history C&O Heavyweight Passenger Train Cars as well a articles on how to model this type of car. The book is 116 pages and fully illustrated, with color covers showing C&O cars in both the green and three-color schemes. The articles are direct reprints from the magazines and have not been updated or manipulated. For the first time the C&O buff, passenger train aficionado, and others will have a good reference for a variety of these cars which were an important element of C&O operations from 1911 until 1971.
