This is a reprint of a 1948 booklet published by The Pullman Company. It depicts artists’ renderings, in color, of all the various Pullman accommodations available at that time. Most are shown configured for day travel and also made down for night travel.
The Pullman Company had been separated from Pullman Inc. a few years previous to this publication. The Pullman Company was owned at this time by all the constituent railroads that used its service, where as, the other half of Pullman Inc. had become Pullman-Standard Car Manufacturing Company. The separation of the car building and operation had been done because of anti-trust legislation.
