This is a reproduction of an official Chesapeake & Ohio/Baltimore & Ohio Freight Car Diagram Book. Most railroads issued these books for their rolling stock and locomotives so that the basic information about each type or class of equipment could be easily accessed at any shop or terminal along the line where some repair or maintenance might be needed. The diagrams are the first issued in a new format created at the time for C&O/B&O Railroads, replacing very different standard drawings used by each railroad when they operated separately. The book was issued October 13, 1970 and updated to July 1, 1971.
