Track Chart – Alleghany Subdivision
Track Charts were issued by most major railroads for use by engineering department employees as a general reference for track and roadway. They show all tracks in straight-line diagramatic format, and by symbols show sidings, yard tracks, roundhouses, and water tanks. Shown also are road and water crossings, tunnels, yards, depot loactions, coaling stations, section houses, and crossings of other railroads. The type of ballast, alignment and grade are also shown. This set shows C&O Main Line trackage as of the early 1960s.
