This set includes the classic Chessie, Chessie with her kittens, and the classic Peake. The Chesapeake & Ohio Railway’s Advertising Department issued these sets of prints several times, twice in the 1930s, once in the 1940s, and then again in the 1970s under Chessie System Railroads, each time under the name “Chessie Portfolio.”
Suitable for framing, this set is printed on thick, high-quality 8.5″ x 11″ inch matte paper. Proceeds support the C&O Historical Society’s efforts to preserve the railroad’s files and graphics featuring Chessie, Peake, Nip, and Tuck, and publish the story of Chessie’s family so the legacy of our favorite railroad kitten is not forgotten.
