$10.95

Diagrams, Meadow River Lumber Company

The Meadow River Lumber Company began milling operations in September, 1910, amid 100,000 acres of virgin hardwood on the drainage of the Meadow River in Fayette, Nicholas, and Greenbrier counties. Established by John and Thomas Raine, the Mill, although large, is a representative of the type of lumbering operation which reached high development in the years when lumber production in West Virginia and in the country as a whole was at its peak.
